I have to share this! We found a product that covers so well it is almost unbelievable! The bathroom plastic has taken some UV damage over the years, Chalking and discoloring. I had to remove everything to get at a problem on the floor. This made it a great time to go after refinishing. We searched the internet and found POR 15 products.
WHITECOTE™ the toughest, most beautiful white coating you'll ever use. Like our internationally-famous POR-15®, WHITECOTE™ cures to a rock-hard, non-porous finish that won't chip, crack, or peel when applied as directed. It's perfect for wrought iron patio furniture, plumbing fixtures, etc., because it's super-tough, not UV-sensitive, and brilliantly white. Use it to repair a bathtub or sink with chips or rust stains, or to paint and protect an old boat, trailer or RV, or anything that you want to be permanently white
balrgn,
Thanks for the tip~
The finished results look awesome~!
Now if I could just get my 64GT over to your driveway....
Seriously, I need to pick your brains for a minute about getting behind the sink..
And, about the work you've been doing on your tractor~!
ciao

Thanks, getting behind the sink area seems much harder than it really is. I'd be glad to share anything you need to know. We'll have to get together soon!
I just checked on the curing of the paint. Take quite a while, 48 to 96 hours. I have my shop @ 65º. The stuff is setting up like porcelain!

Good Morning, We would love to see some pics of your bathroom. Have used the Por 15 on the frame of our Argosy. If this product is as good , might be ordering some. Annie and Marvin

This product is UV and moisture resistant, It is made to resurface bathroom fixtures, I used it on the plastic in my '75. I've heard of it used on a porcelain tub and worked great. (Moisture makes it cure faster so be aware!)
I have some pics on my web page, I'll be posting more as we go.

I wanted to post an update. It has been a little over 72 hours since we applied the paint. It has been curing slowly just as described in the data sheet. I left it in the work shop for 36 hours @ 35% humidity. As it happens the gas furnace out there reduces the humidity. it was a huge benefit for this. After 1/2 through the cure I took the 3 painted pieces inside where the humidity is around 50% this helped the curing. It is now extremely hard but the pieces are very pliable. 24 more hours and it reach the optimum cure. So far I am delighted with the way the pieces came out!

I used a two part epoxy and sprayed it...... took over a week to fully cure. But you know how cold it's been up here. First day you could pick it with your finger nail, tonight (1 week) was walking on the shower pan with muddy/snow/wet boot's - looks like new. Major difference......
I have some cracks in the shower where you sit.I was wondering if there anyway to repair this or should we just replace it.We don't use the bathroom at all but for storage so we never noticed it before now. After seeing your post about the whitecote We was going to try it on the bathroom sink since the sun had discolored it.then we found the two cracks in the shower sit.So i wanted to see what you'll had to say first.
Looking for a product to redo the sink in my AS. It is the original WHITE double bowl. We want to make it BLACK. OUr new countertops are going to be a blakc granite pattern laminate. The only product I've found readily available is Tough As Tiles, but it is only available in WHITE or tintable with a max of 1 ounce.
Either that or a good source for a small BLACK sink, doesn't have to be double bowl, could be single. If I can't refinish the existing, or find a BLACK one to fit, I'm stuck going with Stainless Steel, which I'd prefer not to do.

I had a crack in the seat of the shower as well, Por 15 (sounds like an edorsment) has a 2 part epoxy that looks like sticks of putty. http://www.por15.com/PRODUCTS/PUTTYF...7/Default.aspx
It worked great, made a ball, that looked like silly putty and spread it out over the back side. Place a thin layer on the front side and smothed it out, let it dry, hand sanded it. You can not even see it was there now.

How does the finish come out if you brush it rather than spray it?
Ken
They claim it it comes out the same or better brushed. I prefer spray. It goes on in an even 2" path, holding the gun 6" - 8" abobe the piece. You need a pretty large dia. tip to spray. You MUST put 2 coats. If you want it to level rigtht.
You can see the pics on my website below.
