Organizing clothing and books

greetings

My clothing situation is a disaster, as the closet is apparently either not enough, or to be honest, I have been too lazy to hang my clothing in there. So it seats basically half empty while all of it is piled up on the coach, with hardly any place to seat.

Anyway, my question is, can I get a rack for hangers, something I can put between the dinette and the coach? The distance there in my unit is 33" as I measured. Lowes and others sell a 36" rack which apparently won't fit in there. Suggestions?

Also, suggestions for storing books? I have many if not all closets full of books and still have piles on the floor I trip over every time I go to the bedroom. I even store books in the microwave.

Help, I am running out of space!

Sounds like ye ol' 10 lbs in a 5 lb bag problem!

How many books do you really need in your trailer? I would guess you:
1) can only read 2 or 3 at a time, so why take them all?
2) have already read a number of them
3) have no intentions of reading them all on every trip
4) are full time...if so, skip to the last paragraph
Same thing with clothes:
1) are you wearing everything you have in your trailer?
2) are you carrying around off-season clothes?
3) you must really, really hate to do laundry...
4) why not use the closets for what they're intended for and get shelves for the books?
5) buy the clothes rack at Lowes, take it apart & cut it down to fit....but do you really want your clothes in the living room?
You may want to pay a visit to The Container Store for some storage ideas, after you really assess what all you are carrying around with you...with our tiny trailer, I have learned to only take with me what I will use on a trip, if I don't use it, it stays home.

Travel clutter-free!

Sounds like a candidate for Extreme Airstream Makeover.
