going today to look at '74 Argosy 26ft rear bath. Been told the bathroom floor will need to be replaced. I've been told the ONLY way to properly replace floor is frame off (in order to get subfloor in channel between body and frame?) is there any good solid way to do this without doing the above? Granted, the best way would be to separate the body and frame. but can a good floor be put in that is solid and serviceable?
My Argosy rear bath currently has no covering ie carpet or linoleum, and I see that the sub floor is plywood, and there is a seam about mid way. I would think you could replace from that seam to the rear end by removing the tub, sink, cabinets etc without a frame off. Someone more knowledgeable will chime in. Also try the search function.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.
I would survey the floor in the entire trailer. If the problem is isolated to the rear of the trailer and the frame is solid you can replace the rear floor without a shell off. You will have to section the plywood to get it under the C-channel in most places. The important thing is that the tie points between the shell and frame are properly repaired. There is usually a metal plate at the back that attaches to the shell. Bolts go through the C-channel then the floor, then the metal plate (L-bracket), and then the frame. There should be two 5/16 bolts through the frame and seveal 1/4-20 bolts between the frame rails. The 1/4-20 bolts bolt to the frame cross member at the back. Usually the seal at the back of the trailer fails where the bumper compartment plate goes under the back of the trailer. This leak causes the floor to rot out and usually the rear section of frame.
