New faucet water supply connector ?

I am replacing my faucet and I'm having trouble finding the proper connector to join the 3/8" water supply lines from the new kitchen faucet to my AS's PEX water supply lines. I've been to the box stores and I bought a 3/8" x 1/2" water shutoff, but the threads don't seem right on the PEX lines. Is there a special connector I should use? I'm overwhelmed by connectors labelled NPS, CTS, NPT, etc. Am I safe to use the Sharkbite PEX connectors? My local RV store was no help. Thank you for your help.

There are PEX to thread adapters. What you probably have is a 3/8 inch copper compression output valve with 1/2 inch pipe threads on the input. Look in the store for a PEX to 3/8 compression adapter or the like. In a pinch, sharkbite fittings will work but going with a PEX fitting is better.

Are you sure you have PEX lines and not the gray/Quest/poly stuff?

I'm sure it's PEX. One line is red other is white. I'm planning to call a dealer to ask for a shutoff value with a 1/2" PEX connector on one end to 3/8" threaded on the other. A 90 degree shutoff would be perfect if I can find it. 3/8" to 1/2"PEX seems to be an odd size can't find anywhere. I don't really need the shutoff, but figured while I was making the repair it wouldn't hurt. I'll post a picture when I receive it. Thank you for your advice.
