Question Need info. on 1976 interior front panel of Ambassador.

We have a large crack in the interior curved front cieling panel. Airstream says the 1976 is not in stock anymore. Would there be much difference between the 76 to the 77 ? Can't seem to get an answer from them.

Archives

check teh Vintage Airstream photo Archives. They have pretty much all the popular trailers with interior shots.

Just pick your model, and then the same one for another year, and perhaps you can see the difference.
good Luck!

You are not the only one

I, too, have a cracked curved front section.
I was trying to determine how or why that happened before I attempted to repair it.
Vibration, shrinkage?
Must be a common problem.

It is a common problem. Inland RV had a few end caps, but I don't know for what years.

They are either fiberglass or abs plastic, depending upon the year. Either way, they can be repaired.

From what I hear, the first thing you should do is to drill a small hole at the end of the crack to stop its spreading.

I have a 1976 31' sovereign and just noticed I have the same crack. I also noticed there is a bit of water just under the back window. Has anyone else noticed a leak and if so were you able to find out where the water is coming in.
