Go to it! I know you can do it.

I restore Military vehicles. The one thing I can tell you is... No project is too big when you break it down to many small ones.

Looks like the last time it was on the road was 1988, or at least that was the last registration. How are the windows?

Ah yes, the smell of a new project is in the air! Exciting stuff, and I have mixed feelings. I'm happy for you that you got the trailer and are going to be redoing it the way you want it, and I'm also happy that I've already done that and am now just doing the maintenance stuff that happens after useage. You can have a lot of fun redoing a trailer and then using it.

Enjoy, and keep us posted. Pictures are always good!

Guy..... how can you tell, I thought it was a girl! BTW, Lloyd's of London no longer refers to ships as female. They are now offically IT'S. "It has good lines".

Looks like a he to me too.

Name him Buck. It'll ryhme with the other word you'll use when paying for parts or doing a three handed job with only two hands during the rebuild.

Amen Brother!

Truely spoken from someone who has been there and said that.....

Brandok....interesting that you refer to the trailer as a "he".....

I believe they are all female - imho -

always needy of something -
never gets quite "exactly right" -
looks good when cleaned and spruced up -
expensive to keep and maintain -
may require extensive body work -
does not do well with rough handling or abuse -
really difficult to figure out -
maintains a certain attraction you can never quite define....

But then again, that's just me.

I can certainly see your points. Well thought out and not one I could disagree with. Certainly helps clear up the gender issue with our trailers.

i have started to work on him two afternoons per week and at least one day over the weekend. so here are some pics from tues night before the coronas started mysterly dissaparing form the ice chest (funny how that happens). any ways i am going back to work on him tommorow night and will get some updated pics. but just to give you a taste here are some pics of what i in for, and by the way the pic of the coupler you see is much better looking than what i found under/above the belly pan.
lots of joy to everyone

ps the dogs are loving this project

I must say, seeing that coupler makes one shiver at the fact that whoever did this thought it was acceptable. You can't help but wonder what's coming down the road at you when you see stuff like this. Love the pic of the dogs, they look like they can't wait for you to get your butt in gear and get the trailer done so they can go camping and in the meantime they can provide you with a wealth of advice.

so i went up to see my baby and take some more pics. this is the frist time i have seen the int. in the daylight since i took it apart. these pic kinda suck but the best i could do. it is amazing to see how many rivets have pulled out. i am also supprised to see that the back of the bucked rivets are just slightly mushromed. so any ways this weekend i will clean the inside and install the new fans and start the sheetmetal patches anyway thanks for all the help and support

just wanted to add has any one ever seen a flatened abs vent pipe like this. it is not only flantened but also curved and hidden in the wall. kinda wiered and cool at the same time
