Cabinets

I removed the old doors, left the aluminum frames intact since they are firmly attached to the walls. Built new face frames to match the aluminum frames. Just like you would build a face frame for a cabinet in the kitchen of your home. I didn't want full length doors, so I built doors to fit the openings. I attached the face frames from the back by drilling holes thru the aluminum frame and used pocket screws, screwed in from the back. I did use a small block of wood 3/8"x3/4"x1 1/2" (scraps left over from the cabinet making) between the screw head and the back of the frame because a 2" screw would have come thru the front of the face frame and a 1 1/2" screw would not hold well enough. Also because there is a slot in the back of the aluminum frame that the screw head would have passed thru. I used oak for the blocks. I've thrown in a few more photos. In one photo you can see the aluminum frame just behind the new face frame. Both the cabinets, sink and refer are the same color, the refer cabinet appears lighter in the photo because of the brite lite reflecting off of the 3" fresh snow fall we've had today. I don't know why these photos are shown with a box and red "x" in it. But if you click on the box the picture should show up. Hope this is clear enough.

Flooring

We will put vinyl in the bath area and carpet the rest of the trailer with indoor/outdoor carpet. When it gets to nasty, if it does, we'll replace it. It's just the 2 of us, so with some care it should last.

No avocado countertops or burnt orange carpet?

Just kidding. The work looks great. Keep us posted.

Kevin

Looks great! What wood are you using? What will the finish be?

Looking nice! I quite like what you did with the refrigerator vent - I don't like that ugly piece of plastic in ours, but oh well...

I'm a bit tired, and when I first read what you had done, I mistakenly thought you installed the gaucho. All I kept thinkings was "ouch - that Autumn Rust couch was installed? yeesh".

duh. I need to give my head a shake.

OK, done. I love what you've done, very impressive.
