It seems we are always on that ever-elusive quest for the Holy Grail of RVing: space.
My wife and I looked at the closet and thought, ’there has to be a better way’. The PO had hung one of those canvas thingies with the compartments, but that didn’t seem to add to the efficiency at all.
Photo 1 shows how I had to modify the floor. You can’t mount the shelf standards to just that 1/8 inch thick plywood itself- there isn’t enough strength, even with the mouse fur.

Photo 2 shows a close-up of the inserts which were cut out and routed. (I’m not a good woodworker, and you wouldn’t have to get nearly as intricate as this.

Photo 3 just shows the glue set-up.

Photo 4 indicates how the floor had to be cut in two, to allow access to the water pump and other stuff. Hardware store L-brackets go into the inserts that were added below the floor.

Photo 5 is of the completed project.

Photo 6 is a close up of the shelves.

And photo 7 is a detail of the baskets attached to the inside of the door.
