Mattress

We just picked up our new TT last week. The mattress is hard. What do most AS owners do, replace the mattress or put a pillow top on the one from the factory?

Put another foam mattress either on top or bottom of your present one. There are alot of "mattress" threads in this forum.

We used a memory foam pad on my wife's twin bed in the Safari. Since we traded for the Classic we picked up a 2" queen pad at Costco over the weekend. My wife swears by the memory foam pad and this one is an inch thicker than the one we had on her twin. I'll know more next month when we try it out on the Queen bed.

We looked at some air beds, one by Bear Bed and one by Select Comfort. We have a Select Comfort at home so we like this bed. Bottom line the memory foam pad was about 15% of the cost of a Select Comfort. If we were full timing it might be a different choice but at best we are out 2 weeks maximum for any single trip.
