Making Interior Cabinets Easier to Use
We have a 2008 28' International Ocean Breeze with the rear bedroom.
On either side of the bed is an upper cabinet and a lower cabinet. The top cabinet has a bar for hanging clothes and the lower closet does not.
The problem with the lower cabinet is that anything you put in it slides to the back, after even a short trip, and becomes difficult to reach.
So, I bought a cheap 28" to 48" adjustable tension curtain rod and put in a vertical position just far enough back to allow for a plastic bin to be set on the floor of the lower cabinet - in front of the rod. Its about 30 inches from the floor to the top and adjusting the rod so that it is firmly in place easy.
...and there is still enough clearance on either side of the curtain rod to put light weight stuff like paper products, that you do not need to get to often, at the far rear of the cabinet.
Now the plastic bins cannot slide out of reach.
