Beautiful. Our plan is to keep ours 20 years, and then either remodel or buy a new one. It's great to see such well made remodels. Gives us hope!

We are scheduled for late August at A&P for some renovation work to our 2008 Classic 25fb. The major reason is to convert from queen to twin beds. We made the decision like you, after looking at new Airstreams, to update ours. The only advantage to new Airstreams is the ducted air.

Thanks for sharing.

Kelvin

Yes, the ducted air would be nice! We are out from Hot Springs doing a little R & R. It's been really hot and we have been ok. With the money saved we can do solar & a whole lot of traveling

You will love the twin bed conversion! No more crawling over each other & waking your mate to go to the john. We did do Marmoluem upon Paul's suggestion. I'm so glad we did! It's great! This is our 2nd trip out since we got the Silverlady back. It's just so much easier to live in. Now, I think I can be out for longer periods of time, and not get frustrated & tired. Of course my husband could be out all the time.

Something you shared I would like to do is have drawers under the beds instead of the drop door. That is nice.

I have a question related to renovation, the backsplash of the bath sink, those that have a covered wall, what is behind the covering wallpaper stuff, aluminum? Just curious without tearing it off.

The drawers are great! No more down on your knees trying to pull out some storage crate from under the bed. Or having to re-hang clothes that has fell off the rack as your traveling down the road. I personally hate those wasted space wardrobes on each side of the bed.

The backsplash I'm not sure about. We have aluminum interior in our Airstream. Maybe some else can jump in and answer your question.

Nice job on the redo !

As for vinyl clad interior walls , No you will be better off installing new panels .

The vinyl is on the panels for life trying to remove it is an exercise in frustration and many hours then there is the process of removing the glue then attempting polishing of the panel.
