Looking for dinette conversions

We have a 2015 27FB international serenity trailer that is now one year old.

As we use the trailer we are becoming less, and less enthralled with the dinette setup. Where is a good place to go to see pictures and get ideas on conversions or modifications to the dinette?

We still need a place to eat but there are usually just two of us and we spend more time probably using the dinette to watch TV and/or use our laptops.

The dinette is just so dang uncomfortable to sit at. Also watching TV from the curbside is outright punishing.
Ideas?

Dining area redo

This is what we did to our 2014 FB flying cloud, We too did not like to sit at the dining table. So I took it out and have all the stuff stored in case we want to put it back later. Very easy to remove the table brackets and seat. We did away with the woofer since we never used it, had to redirect a heat vent, easily done. We added a small piece of carpet to hide and also protect some exposed wiring . Then added some stress less recliners that we had .

Looks very nice.

Do you use the side arm tables in the recliner for dining? or do you still use the table with the fittings on under the window?

Here's what I did to ours. Took a bit of work moving the heater for added space

I don't understand Airstream's thinking on this. The only model available with swivel recliners, a 30' option, has now had that option discontinued.

I remember shopping for the Airstream and the bench seating/dinette seemed to solve all questions about seating, sleeping, and lounge space. And it was beautiful. We thought wow, this is as good as it gets. Then spent six months with a sore neck and butt from the contraption and realized recliners were the answer.

We converted ours as seen in our avatar. Our 2012 FC 25 is a Rear Bed model, no furnace in the way when the dinette and benches are taken out so things were pretty much wide open for any seating option. The 25/27 Front Bed models are different because of the furnace, but folks have come up with some good alterations, including moving the furnace and putting an outside access hatch over the old furnace opening.

Dkottum is it still available as an aftermarket conversion.

If so could it be a financial decision. Streamline the initial options and make some money on it if owners are willing to pay for the conversion.

I remember the first time we saw a photo of yours that seemed like a good future seating option for us.

Dkottum,
I have the same model as you, but 2013. What did you do about the roadside storage up front and the other electronic stuff...converter, solar, etc?

That is not my photo. Apparently I have been hacked by my not so friendly board stalker.

There is a 25ft for sale in the classified section with a L shaped sofa that obviously replaced dinette/lounge. I'm not crazy about the dinette either & if I retro fit it my idea is a sofa with two power recliners. I would install a cabinet to hold & store a small portable dinette table for dining or to be used as a desk/craft work area. When not in use it would be folded & stored.
This retro fit would sacrifice storage but comfort factor would be worth it.

Actually you're among the many. This is a very popular configuration judged by the AS sales of this floor plan. Just wish the sofa option/ lounge chairs option was available.
