Kitchen Base Cabinet

Subject: 1971 27' overlander. All original interior. The base cabinet that carries the range and sink is separating from the wall. There is a channel fastened to the wall, near the door, that the end panel fits into. The panel has slipped out of that. Any suggestions for a fix?

Inside that channel are little clips with "teeth" that are supposed to grab the panel. I suppose the easiest fix would be to shove the panel in as tight as you can get it, and then drill several 1/8" holes through channel and panel, and put some extra long pop-rivets through the whole sandwich. (pop-rivets come in different lengths to accomodate different thicknesses of what you're riveting) You may also be able to get at it from the inside, and figure out some hidden way to re-attach that panel to the wall. Good luck- tim
