Interior skin debate "just do it"

I always try to do an extensive search before I post a question, but after an hour of searching, I still need to get some more definitive info.
I am wondering what the best thickness of aluminum sheeting to use to replace the interior panels.
Some have done it with .025, some with 032 and some with 040.
Some say the original is .025, but say when re-doing it it is too wavy.
Would a little thicker 032 or 040 even help? Some say 025 is easier to work with, is 040 harder to work with?
5052-.025 is readily available locally and I am hoping it will work, because it is the cheapest as well.
I want to use the right stuff, anyone know what is best, or am I splitting hairs? I've learned to ask around, instead of being stubborn and "just start doing it"

I am doing it right now. I went with 5052 that comes with a protective coating (so I won't ding it up during the work.) I am using .032 and used the old panels for patterns. I really don't see a problem with the .025. By the way, it took 10 sheets of 4 x 8 to do a Bubble. I had quite a bit of waste by using the originals as patterns and could have saved by using the excess.

So not much difference in 025 vs 040?
Wow! 10 sheets in a 16'!
I will go back and re-estimate for this 68 -19'. I was thinking like 6-7 sheets of 4x10.

Okay, 3003 .025 aluminum sheet 4x10 is $48 locally
.032 4x10 is $58, 5052 only available in .040 at my supplier and it's more $.

I'm going to go with the 3003 .032 for the interior unless I here differently.(soon)
....heading back out to fill the drill bit up with rivet heads. thanks for the info, I'll check back soon
