I am new to Airstreams (but have had 2 other RVs). I have an 81 Excella II that I have gutted and want to move the bedroom to the rear of the coach. I need to come up with some way to replace the existing bathroom ceiling. Does any one have any ideas?

I also need to fill in rivet holes. Hundreds of them. Replacing them with rivets is not what I had in mind. Has anyone used expanding filler, or have a better idea?

Hey Barnstormer -- welcome to the Forums!

A bunch of digital photos during disassembly can help any owner put things back together again. Search the forums on strap duplicator to help you locate frame or underlying rivet holes as you try to fit new skin.

I don't know why you have so many holes inside. The semi-monocoque shell structure relies on both the inner and outer skins being attached properly to give the entire shell the stiffness it needs. Partitions really do not figure into this equation. Are the rivet holes you have to fill related more to removed partitions?
