Interior paint 1961 Tradewind

Y tradewind paint in interior is original. Kinda speckled. But it's peeling all over in small spots. Is there a way to strip this off? Where do I begin?

Can you post a pic? Is it the original paint, or did some one paint over it?

I saw a thread were a guy stripped out the inside, and then melted the paint off with a propane torch. But not an option I would take.

I guess you could sand repair and then paint over if you didn't want to strip it down to the metal.

It's the original paint for sure. It's kinda speckled. Where it's peeling off it's just the metal underneath. What kind of sprayer did you use to apply the zolatone paint?

I would really like to just paint it with a plain satin paint. Do you think that's possible? I know I need to get the peeling spots off. What would you do?

What I would do is strip it and repaint it with Zolatone. What you will do is probably something different. This is the great thing about owning a trailer, you can do what ever you want.

What kind of a painting system would you use? It said on the zolatone website not to use an airless sprayer.

Then you could use a air paint gun and compressor. How long do you foresee your self owning and using the trailer? If it is going to be a long time, then it might be worth it to strip it down to the metal and start fresh, but that's a lot of work. I'm sure you could paint over the zolotone but make sure all of the loose stuff is taken care of.

How are the other systems? Tires axles, etc..

It all needs work. I'm thinking we will really get into it after Holidays. I for see lots of work. Our 64 globetrotter was a real big job. This may be even bigger. Of course I'm wanting it to be really 60's vintage. So I'm really wanting to paint a good color. But I want it to look nice when finished.
