Interior Accent Lights

Are there others out there that have a fascination with lamps and lighting? Been searching high and low for a set of lamps to place in the front wrap around windows. Found these vintage lamps in an antique store in Bisbee, AZ over the New Years holiday.

Now I'm anxious to start working on a solution to run the cords behind the sofa. Has anyone ever drilled some holes in that front section (behind the sofa) to conceil an extension cord? Or any other ideas out there to accomodate the need for an extension cord and also conceil the extension cord?

They look great! We bought a lamp for the dinette in the Bambi. It was from Ikea with a red shade.

Take a photo and share with us. I bet it looks great with your other red accessories. Is your Airstream back home from being at the Dr.?

Yours looks Lovely! Lighting makes all the difference to me, too! Like blmitch, we too got a table light for our dinette in the Bambi. Usually it's the only light we leave on because it has a nice warm glow. Hate the cold LED lights in the new models like ours! We are in the process of trying to figure out how to change the spotlights on the walls to a warmer type of light. We'd use them if they didn't blind us...and they'd be nice for some extra ambient lighting!

Love the look of the Bambi when I walk up with the warm lamp in the window

That lamp in your photo looks great! Seems like the nice warm glow from a unique lamp (as in your photo) sets off a timeless look fitting of an Airstream.

Mel and I keep a lamp in both our Airstreams. I too love the warmth that the vintage light gives off. We use a lava lamp in the 67.

Silverleeper...what a BEAUTIFUL AS...and that light in the window makes it look so inviting! Someday I'd love to have a shiny vintage Airstream like that!

I can't find a picture of our lamp from Ikea but we love it. We had halogens but replaced our cabinet lights (CCD) and always leave those on in the Bambi. We went with the warm colored lights. We only use the halogens when we get ready
In the morning. Valmog, we LOVE your Bambi!

Hi, I made this little lamp out of a water bottle. I made another one just like it out of a Root Beer bottle, but my wife and I like the blue one better.

Wow, now that's a neat idea. Looks great. Do you have something that cuts glass that allowed you to run the cord up through the bottle? Really interesting concept ... you could make some fun lights from all kinds of bottles ... endless possibilities.

Hi, I used a ceramic drill bit. You have to drill real slow and it will chip some, but I used a rubber grommet on the hole, so it looks good.

Congrats on getting the Bambi back...hope you're ready to take it out soon! Your light looks great! Do you guys have the paparika color scheme, too? Looks like we both have the red, but you have a dark fabric on the seats. I'm thinking about changing ours...the light color is nice, but not real practical for camping.
