Ours was green and AZBambi Decor made the red slip covers for us. Its an 06 and the bottom cushion is grey and the top is black I like the red much better. We don't have any red in the house but I love it in the Bambi.

Hey ... congrats on getting the Airstream home. I bet it feels good to have the work completed and ready to camp. How many hours did you spend just sitting in it today? The lamp looks great!

I'm still in it! I had dinner with Air Midwest friends (Joe and Nicky) and now having a glass of wine and watching TV, almost ready for bed and head home in the morning.

You know, I wasn't sure of if the AZ Bambi guys sold there coverings or not. I've been to their website many times but didn't see where to order so thought maybe they were just showing what they've done..which is wonderful! I'm going to have to look and see about getting some slip coverings myself now.

We have the same dishes, too

I love seeing how everyone decorates their Airstreams...starting with lighting, down to the smallest little detail!

Purchased a couple new things for the Airstream this weekend:
1. Lava lamp (haven't had one of these in ages ... could be interesting)
2. Ice bucket
3. Placemats and napkin rings

Are those placemats leather? (or Pleather, probably better for the intended purpose!)

The placemats are white plastic with a stiff board sewn into them where they don't bend or flex. Found them at Z Gallerie.

There are plastic and probably stainless grommets that you can fit into a drilled hole to run the electrical cord. Just make sure it is large enough for the plug. Other than this you could notch an edge an apply a molding to it along the wall to make it look like a stock part of the trailer.

Go to your local old fashioned hardware store and look for the little slide out boxes in the hardware section.

I like lights also and do like our vintage wall lights...but they are not much help for reading. I found one of these Lightolier lights awhile back and it makes a great reading and area light. Vintage too.

Thanks very much for your suggestions Gary. That is the information I was needing. I also Googled Lightolier. They have a some great looking products on their website. Your lamp looks great!

I had never taken a photo of our vintage lamps as they appear from the outside of the Airstream. Attached are a couple photos from when we camped in early July.

Thank you for the kind words. Lighting and lamps just seem to give it that warm homey feeling.

Vintage Lamps Finally Restored

In preparation for taking delivery of our new Airstream tomorrow, I decided it was time to restore the vintage lamps (shown in post #24). The interior of our Airstream we pick up tomorrow is MOCHABLUE so I decided to alter the color (from tan to vintage blue) of the base of the lamps ... to pick up the blue tone in the interior fabrics in order to add a little color to the interior ... and I repainted the chrome stems . I also replaced the electrical cord with new electrical cord.
