Indirect Lighting Upgrade

1999 Excella Classic - So, after looking at the lighting accents in that new Italian Land Yacht I wanted some of that indirect look. It was easy. A 50-inch strip of LED modules with peel-and-stick backing, a simple dimmer, and bingo! Fed the lead down through a small hole in the top to the existing radio unit.

Thats great- I want to do indirect in ours as well, what kind of LED tape did you use? Did you need a separate driver or could you just hook it straight to the 12V system?

I can get the names but you may be able to find better!

If you can't find then ask and I will try to find my sources.

I used the 3500 Kelvin for "warm white". But you can go over 4000K and it looks like close encounters of the fourth kind.

Thanks- I've been wanting to replace the existing spot lamp bulbs with LED, but I'd use 2700- 3000k to be more like incandescent. I'll look on Amazon-

Globie,
With the 3500 and dimmer I can adjust brightness and somewhat color too.

The 3500 look like new incandescent. But then I am a bit color blind.

I got my strip and dimmer from a small company in Illinois. $29.00 includes shipping. I hooked directly to the 12v power for the radio in the cabinet. PM me for getting one and I'll look up the data.

Thanks for the contacts- I'm stoked to try some of the tape in other locations in the trailer and a dimmer (reasonably priced) is a huge plus.

I've got a couple places where we removed drapes to put in miniblinds but left the valence where I'm gonna put LED strips. I haven't made up my mind yet between the select-able color strips or just a warm white.

In Arizona, glue doesn't work. Anything glued falls off when it gets hot.... and I'm talking Real Freakin' hot. I wonder what else would work...??
