how to repair interior (vinyl?) bathroom wall?

I'm trying to repair the inside skin above the shower in my 76 Safari. Someone cut into the wall to push out a dent in the outer skin. They cut a big piece of the interior curved wall and then just taped it back together, so it looks real bad. Does anyone have any ideas or experience how to make this wall look good again? How can I patch up and repair this curved vinyl wall?

Were you able to fix the interior wall in your bathroom? I am trying to figure out what to do with my walls. Thanks!

I had the same issue with my 76 argosy...po hacked thru with a sawzall. I patched the wall behind the tub, fortunately my issue is low and hidden behind the tub. Behind the toilet, I replaced the entire flat sheet with a new one I picked up at a local metal scrap yard for get this...29 bucks! The score of the century.
