How to create White walls in my airstream

I just purchased my 1997 Airstream. Although it's in fabulous shape I have a itch to tare it all apart and make it my own. My biggest question would be how do people get that nice white finish on walls and ceiling? Right now it has the original soft vinyl ceiling and carpet walls. I would either like to take it all to aluminum or White. I've read lots of info on stripping the glue off the aluminum and I've done a small sample behind the couch which seemed easy enough. However if I went with the white look would wall paper be my best bet or do I strip to the aluminum and paint it? Thanks
