Question Hole of unknown origin

We just purchased a 1997 25' Safari in July. To the left of the entry door, on the inside, near the floor there is a hole about 1 1/2" in diameter through the interior wall covering. It has a wire inside and there is a mark on the wall that looks as though a coverplate used to be over it. Does anyone know what this is/was

Thanks,

Karyn

Can't really think of anything. Our '04 25' Safari has a magazine rack near there...but that's 4 small holes-higher & to the left?????

Nope, no exterior holes. The cable and phone hook ups are under the corner cabinet where the TV is supposed to sit. The missing coverplate looks like it lined up perfectly with the step light/interior switch plate just above it. There are no screw holes that would hold a cover plate though.

Another question..... Are those cover plates with the screw holes on diagonal corners unique to Airstream or can they be purchased someplace else? The one over the stove burner is pretty used looking.

Thanks for giving this some thought......serious or otherwise!

Those can be found in most RV stores that are aprt of a RV dealer, or if you have a mobile home hardware store they have them too.

Great! Thank you. I will look next time I'm out searching for trailer goodies, ......I mean essentials, (which is totally open to interpretation).

In my 97 Safari, that is where the LPG detector is mounted. I can post you the exact make and model of the detector later today if you're interested.

I have the same model and year Safari - in mine the space is filled by a Protechtor model 2000 LPG detector.

Doesn't matter, a late answer is better than nothing
