headliner replacement ?

What is the best way to clean off old foam and adhesive and install new insulating headliner or should this be left to an airstream dealer.

Lacquer thinner does a great job for us.

Make sure that you have plenty of ventilation.

Do you have the "droopy ceiling" syndrome that so many of our mid-90's Airstreams have? Are you aware that as installed the headliner material extends back under the cabinetry in most cases? This complicates a simple removal, clean up, and replacement. You might do a search using the search tool found on the menu bar at the top of this page and read the various threads that have dealt with this all-too-common problem. You will find some photos of ceilings that have been improved by a variety of methods, some quite attractive, without replacement. Best wishes in finding a solution that fits you and your Airsteam. ~G
