Ray, we have two motorhomes. One is a 1984 310 Airstream that we are quite happy with and the other is a 1974 20' Argosy motorhome. The Argosy needs a LOT of work but I think we're going to like it once its done.

John, welcome the forums!

On the 74 Models its located under the hood in the engine compartment. See attached picture where the plate is circled in red.

If its not on the passenger side then it will be on the drivers side post. There should actually be two vin or id plates. One for the chassis as delivered from GM and the other is Airstream's id plate. The GM vin plate is what the vehicle will be registered under.

I can verify the location of the GM vin plate Friday if needed.

Not sure what you mean by "toe panel". Can you give a better description of what you're talking about?

It's gone, no more Airstreams for me right now. Gotta make those mortgage payments.....
