fold up/out table

Hi all, my fold out table on my 1973 Tradewind has a little problem. The wood (5/8's plywood I belive) that is covered with lamenate, and attached to the wall, that has the hinge on it, is rotted. I belive I can pull the table out of it's track. Then remove the covered wood top, take it apart, and make a new piece of wood, glue on the lamenate, and reinstall. Anyone do this before? hints/suggestions? MPJ

You can buy sheets of Formica at H.D. or Lowes in many styles and colors. Sometimes they have half sheets. Just cut a new table top using the old one as a template and recover the table per Mfg. instructions. It's really a very easy job for a DIY project.

My table was mounted in front of the entry door curbside. My table mounting area was all delaminated from the 11 leaks from the door to the front of the first window. In addition to the table mounting area being trashed, the floor was rotted and there was cross-member damage. I have all of the living area gutted, the frame cross repaired, frame POR15ed, and the leaks found and fixed . . . I think.

I won't put the table back in. I may not put any table in. I'm seriously thinking of adding drain holes in the belly pan bays so the future water leaks have a way to get away from the frame and the insulation.
