Flying Cloud 22' Interior

I just recently watched a documentary on tv that featured a section about airstream trailers in the 1950's - which really piqued my interest. I'm an interior designer currently updating my portfolio and I was interested in doing a hypothetical redesign of an airstream trailer from that period.

I've been doing a bit of research online and although I can find floor plans of trailers from that time they don't include any detailed dimensions/measurements, just length, width and height.

The particular model that I'm interested in is the Flying Cloud 22' from around 1955 or so, not sure if anyone has any sketches or measurements that I could work from.

Thanks for your help

Even better than measurements, here is a website with actual pictures:

Click on the link "model archives", and scroll down until you see your year and model. Good luck with the project.

There are various other folks actually doing this in actual - some for portifolios, some for school/architectural projects. These individuals have posted lots of neat ideas and receive hoards of responses explaining why the idea is good/bad for the integrity or usability of the trailer. You might want to do a search on this forum and see what others have proposed and the issues around their *unconventional* ideas. Would love to see your sketches as you work through this....!!!!
