For about nine months I have tried to get the safe opened. The first time I tried the keys got stuck. The large one was sitting in a grove and keeping both from moving. Yesterday I fiddled again and they came free. So I try again. It opened!!! Looks new inside. (Nothing looks new on this trailer!) Guess what was in it?? The directions to open the safe!
lube the locks with WD40. I called a locksmith once due to a similar issue. In he walks with a can of WD40 and within 5 minutes had the lock cleaned out and working like new. Cost me $60 . ouch

Look in the toe kick area under the cabinet next to the refrigerator. You may need to pull the carpet back slightly where it turns and goes up. That's where it's at in our '78 Excella with a rear bath. Some of the '77 layouts were a lot different in the galley, so if your fridge is not on the roadside, it may be somewhere else.
