60s trailers have square exterior storage compartment doors. The new body style in the 70s had rounded corner compartment doors. I recommend finding a used one. Making one is certainly possible, but would be challenging.

Side window replacement

I am going to look at a 1970 29ft. It has a large side window broken out.

What is the replacement cost and where would I find one?

thanks

If it's a side curved window you will need to find a donor window from years 1969-1974. Other years won't fit. Sometimes you can buy a window from places like VTS or odmrv.com but be prepared to pay $450+ and shipping on top of that. If it's the flat window in the front or rear it can be replaced with safety glass from a local supplier. Another alternative is to replace the curved glass with lexan. That's what I did and you can't tell the difference unless you tap on it or are opening the window. It's much lighter than the glass. If you go that route will will still need to order the gasket thingie that the glass/lexan sits in inside the frame. Not sure what that thing is called.
