Dog crate / nite stand.

The dog crate is completed and the bed frames.
The Corian counter tops are scheduled for next week.

Nicely done!

How big a dog, and how many do you fit inside the crate?

I have 4 smallish ones, and the two portable crates we use are a serious impediment to movement in our 22 footer...

We have 2 King Charles Cavaliers weighing in at around 20 lbs each. Since the new crate extends under the head of one twin bed, there is a lot of room. There is still storage under the head of the other twin bed. I was just tired of moving their crate; it seemed to be in the way wherever I wanted to be! They are only in the crate when we sleep. Cool, then it actually goes under the twin bed to the left quite a ways.

Our current setup is a set of medium collapsible wire crates that block most of the aisle in the AS, and another set of two similar crates that occupy the back seat of the TV. Our pups think of the Airstream as their big silver doggie den, it seems.

My pups would love something built-in like that. Maybe I can set it up under part of our front bed storage area. Just have to better enclose the 12-volt electrical parts in that area.

Neat idea.

We did the same thing by replacing the storage bin door under the street side bed with a hinged generic bbq grill. I’d include a picture but the forum gods said I’d used up my quota years ago. We just have a 10 pound Cairn Terrier.
