does anyone know what this is

Does any one know what the light switch goes to that is above the door. It is not the light on the exterior, that is the switch to the left in the picture. Its a 68 30' International

It's probably for the ceiling light in the galley area.

As I recall, that switch is for the flood or scare light.

In our '68 Overlander it enables the overhead galley light.

I'm with Andy, that's the scare (outdoor) light on my Trade Wind.

Also, don't let the turn knobs fool you. Yes, they are switches, but the one by the door also controls the ceiling light in front of the door. That way, you can turn it on when you open the door. Be aware that these are not double throw switches like in a house where you can turn the light on with one switch and off with the other and vice versa. When either of these is off, the light is off. It is nice, though, to be able to turn on a light before entering when you are in a dark place.
