Dinette update

After our first season in the AS, we found quite a few things that didn't work for us. The biggest one was the dinette. In the fall we pulled that and today the cabinet maker installed the buffet we designed. It houses a microwave and takes up less floor space than the original dinette. We still need to stain the top but we can already tell it will be a much better use of that space. I've included pics of the original and the update!!

NICE. You do lose sleeping space if you have a larger family, but an inflatable twin mattress could work for an occasional guest. I like the dual height feature - good for sewing/computing, etc.

We did think of that...but with the large sofa in the front (and the fact our kids are older now) we were more comfortable with making the unit work better for 2...;o).

I love this idea too. We're going to get a second AS for longer trips and I want to do something similar so I have an area to work on the road.
