Deep pocket sheets

We are taking delivery on our new 2016 19 ft flying cloud CB tomorrow
Ya

The mattress on the newer models now has a pillow top which makes it 8" high
Anyone out there have any luck locating any fitted sheets that fit?

Airstreams are really expensive and they are back ordered anyway
We have looked on line and everyone just have the old 7 inch ones which aren't going to fit,,,

Thanks
Ken & Ruth

My Safari came with two sets from these folks. Excellant fit and construction.

Use regular fitted sheets for the bottom. Example I use twin size deep pocket fitted sheets on my twin bed classic with added topper. It is a bit to wide but doesn't really matter. You can always get the slide on sheet clamps from Bed Bath and Beyond to help keep things in place. Same for the queen bed in our previous FC. Works fine and much less for what ever thread count you want to buy. Also at BBB you can buy individual pieces. I like a full size top sheet rather than a twin.

Ditto to Michael in Post #2. We have a mattress pad and all-cotton sheets from ablifestyles and are very happy with the fit and fabric after a few washings. There are earlier threads on this, which I will post later from home.

Welcome to the forum! [I forgot to say yesterday] And welcome to the introduction to your new project to customize as you wish, when things are not quite up to snuff. For us, hitting little hurdles like this are part of the fun of owning an Airstream! You end up with your trailer.

Did the mfg. give you a lead time?

Here are the earlier threads I mentioned yesterday. There are plenty of ideas for using regular sheets with custom adjustments which are available off-the-shelf apparently.

By using the Search function at the top right [the lower Google box in the drop down menu] for "sheets" here are the search results:

https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=011403...ets&gsc.page=1

. . . and these threads look promising:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f514...fb-118732.html
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f312...ts-147433.html

From reading those threads last fall, I seem to recall that either Kmart or Walmart carries "suspenders" you can attach to the sheets under the bottom of the mattress. You might have to use oversized flat sheets for your new larger mattresses?

At this time of year, I would simply grab some sheets that will let you sleep on the bed, and hit the road ASAP! [without fretting over getting it perfect on the first attempt -- ]

Good luck.

And Happy Trails!

Peter

PS -- From this thread, or from any of the others, you can "bounce up" in the organizational structure here [see the blue terms between the ">" symbols at the top left], and click on General Interior Topics, for instance, to see the list of all topics in this sub-forum.

I purchased the 8" sheets and blankets for my FC25 Twin from this place as well. They fit great.

Those slid on sheet clamps are great! Didn't know about these until recently

We got our sheets from a lifestyles. We use a mattress topper so they didn't fit properly. But afterwards I found our that is you tell them the thickness of your mattress they will custom fit it for something like an extra $20.
