I just got a '64 Safari (22 ft.) and am excited about fixing it up. The exterior of this trailer is in real good shape except for missing a panel on the lower back right (facing front of trailer). The interior is in decent shape but we did find some water damage. A friend of mine helped me cut out parts of the floor that were rotten but we still have some closet and cabinet panels to replace as well. We've noticed some water damage in the compartment that houses the converter and toilet plumbing. I'm thinking about replacing all the cabinets drawers, etc. Is there a replacement kit for this model that includes all the pieces that I would need to replace all, or is it just a matter of removing, measuring, cutting and replacing old wood with new wood?
Also, can you recommend an RV outfitter that specializes in Airstreams near me in New Orleans, LA? I'd like to get this trailer ready to go sooner rather than later.
Thanks,
