Convert 1975 safari Gaucho into queen??

How would I do this. I have done lots of research and have figured building my own platform with a memory foam mattress from ikea or another store would be cost effective... Is this the best route I dont wanna do it in the middle where the other bed is because of the walking around issue. This would be a permanent structure. Should I remove the radio and the table I belive it would be alot more room? Not sure pointers please!!

That's what I did. I converted the street-side goucho into a full-time bed in the front of my AS.

You can see it here:

Not sure its a queen but more like a double. I purchased a 9" memory foam mattress from a futon store so the bed can be converted into a couch if need be.

I did not cut the memory foam down in the corners because it molds well to the shape.

It's been great! Good Luck.

Thanks

DO you think it would support two people? Is it comfy?
