After having seen a 25RB twin I'm thinking it would be more cost effective to get my queen in my Classic 25fb converted to twin beds vs buying a new 2015 FC 25RB/FB Twin.
The converter/charger would have to be moved a couple of feet closer to the curb side and the drawers under the curbside wardrobe would have to go. But I could have drawers built into the twin bed bases. I wouldn't require exterior storage doors to be added and could keep the curb side exterior storage. The water heater could remain in place.
Could the base of the bed be used to make a night stand and drawer fronts to keep the hickory wood color scheme for a the night stand.
I'd probably get a new floor laid throughout the trailer and remove all the carpet in the bedroom.
I wouldn't be able to do this work myself, I lack the carpenter skills and tools.
What do you think would be the cost for such a conversion if I used a trailer renovation company to do the work? I'm thinking about $5000.
Given that the cost of a new 25' FC is in the $65,000 range, and the value of your unit is about half that, I would say you would come out way ahead financially to make this conversion. Unless of course, you are just looking for an excuse to get a new trailer!
