Clothes Hamper - 1971 Safari

I have a 71 Safari and behind the toilet there appear to be snaps to attach a sling type of clothes hamper. My unit has a home made cover over this area and the space behind the toilet isn't being used. Does anyone know what the original clothes hamper looked like or how I could get a replacement.

Larry

I have one in my 1978 Ambassador. It is a laundry bag that snaps in. I would buy a laundry bag and install the snaps...just make sure the bag fits the space.

Clothes hamper.....at first I thought for sure you were talking about the shower stall.

(That's our shower's primary use!)

Exactly.
The cover is a masonite type material with a handle in the middle. The cover sits on/in an aluminum frame, the laundry bag snaps to the inside of the frame.
