Changing interior of 20'

DW and I are looking at a 2005 20'. We like the size of the unit but we both hate dinettes, we prefer recliners or easy type chairs. I would like to remove the dinette but it looks like the hot water heater is located under the forward dinette seat. Has anyone changed out the dinette for chairs or any advice on how to make the change.

We had a 20' and that was one of our reasons for trading to a 25', being sure ahead of the time a dinette-to-recliner change was easy. The 20 is about kitchen, not living space.

The water heater and associated plumbing is under there so it won't work. It is also too small of space for recliners to fit decently in both directions.

Look for a model without major appliances/electrical under the seating, and there are few. Our 2012 front dinette 25 was wide open without the dinette. Some of the earlier 25's with a sofa may work, but look under there first.

I would suspect that recliners would "fit" better in a 25 or longer trailer due to their increased width.

In the 22 sport there are not any mechanicals under the dinette, but there is a wheel well. Perhaps see about that one.
