Thumbs up Ceiling sag....

Having just purchased a '96 W.B. 34', LTD I naturally want to do a little fine tuning to a coach that's generally in excellent condition.
Aside from wanting to change the shocks that are original, the white vinyl ceiling material that has a sort of foam backing, is sagging in many locations as the stickum stuff ain't sticking quite so good anymore. I am not really opposed to peeling it dowm and replacing the adheasive if I must, but need to be certain just what kind of adheasive to use that will hold for a very long time, and will not bleed through the thin layer of foam and possible damage the vinyl;.....and how to apply,...spray or ?
Thanks and GOD bless.

I had sag on my 2003 International and used 3M spray adhesive to fix it. It seemed to hold quite well for the time I had the trailer.

Try 3M super 77 spray adhesive. Trust me, it will never sag again.

Terry.

The "sag" was caused by the Feds making Airstream use a water based adhesive, that most of us know by now, was a big flop.

Usually, but not always, the "fix" required removal of all of the vinyl, cleaning off the old adhesive, and starting all over again.

Airstream paid for many of those repairs during the trailer warranty period.

Too late now?

Pahaska - too bad you didn't get AS to make the repair on that headliner - it's coming back down in several places. In particular over the kitchen area. Is that where you reattached it the first time? This trailer is still too new to be replacing all of that lining.

The only place I fixed was over the bed, just in front of the bow that runs across the ceiling. I pulled down the trim that runs across the ceiling, pulled the headliner down a bit to get access, and sprayed the 3M adhesive in that area. That was what the dealer was going to do and it saved me a trip to do it myself.

The liner in the rest of the trailer was OK so long as I had it.
