CCD wet bathroom installed in a more vintage model

There is a chance that I can acquire a previously gutted overlander. I like the idea of a mid bath, and I was wondering if it is a possibility of purchasing a ccd bathroom, the wet style, from an Airstream supplier and then install that set up in the gutted Airstream. Of course there would be plenty of customizing, but I am seeing if anyone has attempted this. I like the small stature, the aluminum walls, and the door that closes. Ideas?

You cannot use most new furniture, in older trailers. The contours are different.

Could they be modified to work? It is not a plug and play, but perhaps the pan, sink, toilet setup with walls and cut off wheels etc could make work of it. Perhaps using a template etc.

Chris, welcome to the forum. We have a wet-bath in our Safari and I love it. Having grown up in sail boats it really is nothing new for me. It took Sandi a bit getting used to but the room we gained in a 22' trailer makes all the difference. When I was redoing the Tradewind I thought of making a wet bath but the existing layout was perfect as it was. I had put a lot of thought into the project and in reality it is very simple to do from scratch. I looked into doing it in either aluminum or polystyrene and if you get right down to it no big deal. Both are easy to work with and very easy to make water tight. Keep us posted.
