bunk size??

I'm proposing adding bunks in across the back of my 72 tradewind. What would be the minimum, comfortable bunk width? I know a twin is 38" wide but has anyone gone any smaller? I would like it to be able to sleep an adult or child.

thank you

I believe the twin beds in most older 8' body Airstreams were 34" wide, possibly 32". I think that also was the size in my 310 motorhome too. A little skinchy for a big adult like me, but still not terrible.

Someone with the old twins can measure and report here, I no longer have a rig with a twin.
