We have a '72
Sovereign 31 with (amazingly) the original aluminum frame canvas bunk beds that hang over the rear twins and all the hanging hardware. I've slept in one and my 9 yr-old has, too. They work like new. Problem is there's some hardware indicating there used to be a storage bay for these to be stashed in when they're folded up and not in use. There's a piano hinge all along the roadside wall right up between the overhead storage and the window and there's these odd-shaped hinge-type brackets on either end as well as two retainer clips like on the screen door. Something is obviously missing. I even read a thread on here from about 11 yrs ago where someone mentioned exactly this storage bin but that person can no longer be reached.
Please, does anyone know where to find the remaining parts to finish this most awesome part of my Airstream experience. This camper was such an amazing find!! Nearly perfect and original and 95% functional when I bought it 6 months ago. I just want to be able to store my bunks in my camper, not in my garden shed or in the back of my tow vehicle
Anyone has one of these can just about name your price (within reason, of course, lol)
