Best Storage to Protect New Interior
We have diligently restored "Stella", our 1983 34' Avion 34V-Full Bed edition.
And, we have recently bought "Barny", our new retirement home base. Sadly, after looking for months for a home with property on which we could also park Stella, we were unable to find anything suitable (don't ask), so Barney does not have a place to store Stella.
We have found a locked indoor storage unit for Stella (40'L x 12'W x 15'H), so Stella is protected from vandals while she is in storage. The storage unit appears to not have been infested with mice (steel walls embed directly into the concrete floor). But the storage unit is an oven, here in Houston, TX. I estimate that the temperatures inside the storage unit could reach 150 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer.
So, my question is this, which is better for Stella:
- Being protected from vandalism and theft inside an oven
- Being protected from high temperatures but exposed to vandalism or theft
I'm considering having a solar fan installed in the storage unit.
Your thoughts?
