We just picked up our remodeled 2008 Airstream from Coachcraft by MacDonald in Columbus, GA. http://www.coachcraftbymacdonald.com They mostly do big coaches; Prevost, Bluebirds, etc. They are very good.

While our Airstream was not a total restoration, the remodel was to make our Airstream more comfortable for us. We were very pleased with their professionalism, customer service, and the work.

We did away with one bench seating replacing with recliner, shortened the sofa and added a small cabinet to add counter space. Converted queen beds to twins, new flooring, new countertops, new faucets, and additional storage closets.

You can see all we did at http://www.airforums.com/forums/f468...se-186848.html

Here are a few pictures.

Hein try looking at Metechs and see if that product is similar. They sure do look fantastic in that trailer.

What's your budget........$60,000.00 minimum + cost of the trailer is high end, if you get someone to do it for you.

Cheers

Agreed - what is your budget? Typical full restoration projects with new, custom interior I’ve seen have been the $150k - $300k range. $60k in labor hours goes fast, real fast. You get what you pay for generally speaking.

I used to recommend Capitol City Customs in Raleigh, NC. BUT lately, they have proven to be non-responsive. An Airstream owner I recommended reported back to me that it took several calls and emails to get an answer. After driving up to Raleigh, he was very uncomfortable with the accuracy of the time he was charged vs how long the repair actually took.
I share this to just suggest that some of the recommendations you'll get may not be as recommended as they were at one time. Also to suggest that if you have an issue with a vendor recommended, tell the person who made the recommendation.
I agree that you will likely underestimate the hours it will take to do what needs to be done.

Anytime now we'll see an ad for a "gutted Airstream trailer, ready for your dream renovations", along with pictures of the interiors posted here.[emoji39]
