Ok first is the cost. Not sure but I picked up the airstream for two grand and I think I have a little under five total in it now. I did all the work myself with some help from good friends. There are alot of hours in it not sure how many but more than I care to remember.
How did I strip the wood. Well I started with two different types of stripper and that worked ok but slow. I then tried a small jitter sander. Again to slow so I tried my D/A air sander and that worked real fast but left some scratches. After I used the D/A I cleaned it up with the smaller electric sander.
The last and hardest project is the polishing. So far I am using the Harbor Frieght 6 speed polisher with Nuvite G6. I tried a number of different things and ended up back with the Nuvite. I'm not sure but if I had to guess I'd say it never had a clear coat and never has been polished. The PO polished the front about five years ago and that is why I had to polish it. I think I would have enjoyed it alittle before taking on this polishing job had it all looked the same.
Thanks everyone for the praise
Steve
