Bed lifts-Won't compress
I just installed two 150lb bed lifts so I can access the storage under my bed. I think these are TOO strong as I can't get them to compress. Any thoughts?

I have a 350 pound friend who probably can hold the bed down.
Seriously you might be able to move them closer to the pivot using leverage to your advantage. Possibly adding more of a horizontal mounting attitude to the lift. But you'll have to calculate how much the lifts are lifting. Probably the real answer is lifts of a lower capacity.

Try disconnecting one of the lifts. But I suspect tpi is likely right.

under-bed storage
Check out our posting about the great hinges we used to lift our twin beds to get at the storage space underneath:

Happy Sunday my friend. Please post the final design and cylinder specifications. I need to build my bed pedestal and could use the benefit of your experiences. :-)
