Smile Bathroom Pocket Door Removal

I've got a 1971 Overlander I've restored, but I would like to take out the pocket door between the bedroom and bathroom to paint and faux finish. I don't want to remove any interior walls, but I can't figure out how to get the door out. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

Been there, done that. If your pocket door assembly is like the one in my '72, you'll need to drill out the rivets holding the laminate wood panel above the door. The piece is a shallow C shape. You don't need to remove the aluminum extrusion that the panel was riveted to, unless you want to.

Umnn... to get to the bath tub base screws and other hidden fasteners the ceiling lockers and beds had to come out... I seem to remember. Maybe someone has a better cheat, errr... idea.
