Cool bathroom mirror

Hey!

We are the proud new owners of a vintaage Airstream. (dream come true!) But, being a newbie to the Airstreams, I have lots of questions. Here'e the one that is bugging me the most!:

I can't figure out how the bathroom mirror in my 77 Soveriegn works. It appears to be able to tilt or move, but I can't get it loose. It has a folding arm that attaches it to the wall at the bottom and it is attached to the wall at the top too. The folding arm obviously serves some type of purpose, but I can't figure out what. For the life of me, I can't get that bugger unhooked at the top. What am I missing?

Thanks, Trish.

Check for a clamping knob on the arm, it may be in the clamped position, keeping it from moving. Try loosening the knob, and pulling out on the bottom of the mirror.

It doesn't unhook at the top. There is a set screw on that folding arm mechanism on the side. You may need to spray some WD40 on the screws and then try to unscrew it and move the mirror up and then tighten the screw to hold it in position. Being a 77 I'm not saying yours will work any better than my 78, but the top is just a piano hinge and the side thingy is what you need to work on getting to adjust. Perhaps there is a 12V and an electrical plug behind the mirror as there is in mine.
