Argosy Sleeper HELP

I am just about to finish my current restoration project on an ARGSOY 20. I will then move on to a search for a Minuet 20 or 22. After sleeping on a gaucho, even with memory foam, something better is needed. I plan to take out the front booth or gaucho and construct a built-in couch with a folding sofa sleeper mechanism. Another alternative is a lightweight sofa sleeper from Ikea. Then I will replace the side gaucho with a small booth. I am wondering if there is any difference in the distance from the front bulkhead to the kitchen cabinet between the 20 and the 22.

Also has anyone else tried this approach, particularly building you own built-in sofa sleeper(taking the fold out mechanish and creating you own built in sofa to mount it in?)

Thanks

Greg

Just finished our Argosy 20. We took out the bed and just used memory foam. Works well, wish I had used one more inch!
