are corners in bulkhead suppose to have hole and crack?

My 77 international sovereign 31ft has good to so-so interior..little soft floor by door but my biggest concern is: both corners in ceiling above couch..right wher the cupping of the corner is has a hole drilled maybe 8 inches up then a crack follows down the center of cup (in cap area) too the edge. Is this so the plastic can make that concave form.. or is this a crack in each corner? sorry- I can't do pics but maybe get grandson if needed. I think it might be normal due to the hole at top of each crack? maybe a short molding goes in it?

A common way of stopping a crack in plastic or abs is to drill a hole right at the end of a crack to stop it from extending further.

Cracks are common. We have a 75 international Sovereign and we have a crack at the bottom. We need to patch before I paint it.
