Air Mattress

We discover an inexpensive way to replace the interspring mattresses in our trailer. After checking out the air mattress made for and RV we decided there had to be a better way. While at Wal-Mart I noticed that a camping mattress was the same dimensions as our twins. For $10.00 including pump we tried one. It was light and worked kind of. Zapped the warmth out of you in cold weather. To solve this we cut the end of the intersping mattress and removed the metal springs. Took a while to cut all those hog rings. Put the air mattress inside the quilted pad and blew it up. Works like a champ and is extremely light weight.

Be careful if you travel to the mountains. A firm mattress at sea level will most likely explode at high altitude. When we travel to the mountains it is not uncommon for potato chip packages to blow apart from the pressure. People have destroyed float tubes by filling them up at home as well.

That, my friend, is alcohol abuse!
